Yutong Bus signed 1.8 billion overseas largest pure electric bus order
On November 30, Yutong signed an agreement with Qatar National Transport Company to purchase a total of 1,002 Yutong buses for the 2022 Football World Cup, with a total amount of 1.8 billion yuan. Among them, 741 pure electric buses are included, which is the largest overseas order of pure electric buses so far.
It is particularly worth mentioning that this is the largest overseas order for pure electric buses so far. According to statistics, since 2014, China's bus brand new energy exports 5,223 units, Yutong exports 888 units, accounting for 17%. The successful signing means that the proportion of Yutong's new energy exports has reached a new level.
It is expected that the buses will be sent to Qatar from April 2021.The Qatar World Cup organizing committee has said it will be the most compact World Cup ever. For example, the proximity between stadiums (up to 75 km and the nearest 5 km), connected by modern transport means shorter commuting times for fans, media and athletes. According to the plan, Yutong buses will be mainly used to transport government officials, players and organizing committee staff during the 2022 World Cup.
The Supreme Committee for the Delivery and Heritage of the 2022 Qatar World Cup has stated that "sustainability will be at the heart of the preparations for this World Cup". Based on this, pure electric buses for the first time participated in the transport security work of the World Cup as the "protagonist".After the World Cup, these vehicles will be put into the public transport system, especially pure electric buses, which will become the starting point of new energy public transport in Qatar.
In addition, Yutong and Qatar Free Trade zone KD factory cooperation plan is also in progress. In the future, the KD plant will provide new energy vehicles for Qatar and even more neighboring countries with an annual production capacity of more than 300 units.
At present, Yutong bus sales and service network has covered Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, CIS and other markets, products are exported to more than 40 countries and regions around the world. Yutong large and medium-sized buses in the domestic market share of more than 37%, the cumulative export of more than 70,000 units, for many years in a row leading the world's sales. In China, one out of every three large and medium-sized buses comes from Yutong.
In terms of new energy bus sales, Yutong has exceeded 130,000 units, not only covering more than 350 cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou in China, but also exported to 24 countries and regions such as France, Britain, Australia, Chile and Denmark with superior performance.
